The September-released movie by David Guggenheim ("An Inconvenient Truth") is debuting at the Wilma Theatre on Friday, but a special event on Monday will give its audience a chance to join in a local discussion on its implications and assertions.

"We want to hash this thing out, and we need help to do it," said Dave Chrismon, executive director of the Missoula Education Foundation. "You can’t do that behind closed doors – so we want to get that dialogue started as best we can, a civil dialogue that can set the tone."

The Missoula Education Foundation hosts a screening of the education documentary "Waiting for Superman" on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the Wilma Theatre, 131 S. Higgins Ave. The movie will be followed by a panel discussion, with an audience question-and-answer period. Admission to the event is $5.50.
