Map of Storm Damage To Missoula’s Trees – Which will have to be trimmed or removed?

Forestry contractors deployed throughout the city starting the week of November 18

We’ve posted a project dashboard that shows data points, photos, and more information about each tree to be treated. Remember that the dashboard constantly changes as we progress through thr project and inspect more trees. If you have questions about a data point near your property, use the Tree Service Request to contact the Urban Forestry Division.

The City of Missoula is continuing its largest-ever urban forestry initiative to address extensive tree damage caused by hurricane-force winds on July 24, 2024. Thousands of city-owned trees in the public right-of-way were severely damaged, creating significant safety hazards that require immediate action. Forestry crews will begin working citywide the week of November 18, 2024, to mitigate these risks and protect public safety.
