Leadership Montana Now Accepting Applications for Class of 2010…

Leadership Montana, a statewide collaboration of higher education, community and business leaders, has begun accepting applications for the Class of 2010. This will be Leadership Montana’s sixth annual class. There are over 200 members from 45 Montana communities who have participated in Leadership Montana.

Leadership Montana will present a seven session program of business and policy education. Also included will be a program of leadership skill development focusing on the principles of community trusteeship, “The Integrated Work of Leadership”. Participants will be selected to ensure diversity of ideas, commitment to the long-term future of Montana, and a willingness to play a leadership role. The program will be conducted in locations across the state, beginning with an Orientation and Retreat on September 9, 2009. Ultimately, Leadership Montana members will form an important bond, creating a powerful network of energy, talent and leadership for our state.

The Leadership Montana organization includes an Alumni Organization, made up of graduates of previous classes. Funding is provided by more than ninety organizations from around the state. Leadership Montana, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with offices located on the Downtown Campus of Montana State University-Billings.

The current class of Leadership Montana has completed programs in Big Sky, Miles City, Missoula and Great Falls. The next session will be February 19-21 in Butte, followed by Helena March 26-29. Graduation will be held at the final session, May 7-9 in Billings.

Programs for the Class of 2010 will be conducted in Big Sky, the Flathead, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls, Glasgow and Billings.

The sixth class of Leadership Montana will include approximately 40-participants. Tuition will be $2,500 for the seven session program. Tuition assistance may be available on a limited basis. Applications must be received by March 31, 2009.
