INVITATION: Celebrate The MSU Leadership Institute & Literacy, 3/28, Bozeman, Montana

What can you do to have fun and also help the MSU Leadership Institute?

On Monday, March 28th at 5:30 pm in MSU Strand Union Building Ballrooms, and prior to "Cuba’s Road to Literacy," we are hosting a leadership and literacy celebration event, with proceeds from the ticket sales to go to the MSU Leadership Institute Endowment.

Meet and hear insights from:

*Cuban activist Norma Guillard – a social psychologist from Cuba, Guillard is one of the original teachers from the campaign featured in the film that will be shown at 7:30 pm. She was 15 years old when she and her sister joined the literacy campaign. As she expresses in the film, "It is the most important thing I have done in the history of my life."

*Filmmaker Catherine Murphy – a San Francisco-based filmmaker, Murphy has spent much of the last 20 years working in Latin America. She is founder and director of The Literacy Project, a multi-media documentation project on adult literacy in the Americas.

*Valerie Hemingway, author of Running with the Bulls: Hemingway as I Know Him, will provide her personal insights during her years as a Hemingway, and the tumultuous final months in Cuba http://www.apbspeakers.com/speaker/valerie-hemingway
