Gravity Payments founder Dan Price gave all employees a $70,000 salary, and cut his own pay, five years ago, and it’s transformed the startup and employees’ lives. Staff members say workload has been reduced, they’re more engaged and productive at work, they’ve paid off debts, and they’re saving more for retirement.
