As interest in and adoption of health information technology increases, provider organizations are struggling to find qualified IT professionals.
Numerous mandates to adopt health information technology have been delivered at federal and state levels, pointing to potential improvements in health care quality, affordability and efficiency. And in response, health care organizations have been scrambling to grasp the technical, financial and policy issues surrounding IT adoption.
