Great Falls Economic Development Top Ten for 11/18/18

Here is our Top 10 for this week, celebrating work and successes to grow and strengthen the Great Falls regional economy.

1) Per capita income in the Great Falls MSA grew faster than the state and national averages in 2017, confirming what we’ve been tracking in the JobsEQ system. Data released his week by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis detailed that our per capita income grew by 3.91%, above the national growth of 3.67% and Montana’s 3.04%. Our per capita income increased by $1,730, from $44,229 to $45,959. Total personal income in our MSA (Cascade County) increased by 4.12%, growing $148.6 million.

2) Met with several local companies this week as part of our on-going effort to connect with existing companies. Approximately eighty percent of our growth will come from existing businesses. Sometimes we can bring tools and resources, sometimes we’re just cheerleaders through the permitting process. Let us know if we can help you with your project. Call Jolene 406.750.4481.
