Montana Tech and its Rocky Mountain Agile Virtual Enterprise Technical Development Center (RAVE TDC) will conduct a grand opening of RAVE’s new Creativity Forge on Wednesday, June 9.

The ceremony will include a ribbon-cutting and dedication of Montana Tech’s new Haas Technical Education Center, one of only 51 in the nation. The center is the new home to Montana Tech’s robotic welder and two new pieces of equipment, a computer numerically controlled (CNC) lathe and vertical mini-mill developed by Haas Automation, Inc.

The new center, which will be used to provide hands-on technical education and manufacturing prototyping, is a partnership between Montana Tech, RAVE, Haas and King Machine Inc., which is Haas’ representative in Montana and Idaho. The dedication will begin at 10 a.m. at the RAVE Creativity Forge at Butte’s Industrial Park. The park is located off of South Harrison Avenue at 106 S. Parkmont.

King is hosting demonstrations all day, titled the "Montana Machine Tool Show – Haas Demo Days." Following is a link to a detailed description of what organizers hope to "grow" at the new facility:
