Community Assets Include:

* Sweet Grass County is truly where the plains become the Rockies! The Crazy Mountains and the Absaroka Beartooths surround us on three sides and the prairie lies to the east. Big Timber is the gateway to the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness and has some of the best blue ribbon trout fishing in the state. The Boulder River flows across 57 miles of Sweet Grass County, the West Boulder River flows across 9 miles, the East Boulder River flows 13 miles, and the Yellowstone River flows 51 miles across the county. These and the many additional miles of small streams provide fishing, camping, and recreation opportunities. Big Timber sits in the valley formed by the confluence of the Boulder River and the Yellowstone River. That allows for many types of professions and also provides tourists and residents with a variety of activities.

Opportunities:

* CREDITS: Sweet Grass County is known for magnificent scenery and western culture.
