Feature Analyst® User Conference: The Core of Discovery in AFE

Visual Learning Systems, Inc. (VLS) is pleased to
announce the first annual Feature Analyst User Conference to be held in
Missoula, Montana on September 14-15, 2004. Feature Analyst is the world’s
premier software tool for automating the task of collecting features from
imagery. The conference, entitled The Core of Discovery in AFE, celebrates
new research and exploration in the field of automated feature extraction
(AFE) for the GIS industry.

The conference is intended to showcase Feature
Analyst user applications, as well as provide THE venue for research
collaboration in the field of AFE. Topic areas include research and
applications of 2-D and 3-D feature collection from satellite imagery,
LIDAR, stereo, and video, change detection, creating extensions to Feature
Analyst, automated attribution, smart editing tools, and much more.

Confirmed attendees include leading researchers from both industry and
government. “Our customers have vocally requested both a User’s Conference
and a venue for researching AFE,” states VLS CEO Dr. David Opitz. “This
venue will provide a meaningful meeting of the minds that fulfills both
needs. The 2004 User Conference promises to provide stimulating discussion,
networking opportunities, insights to advanced technology offerings from
VLS, and a lot of fun in Missoula Montana which is a beautiful place to be
in September.”

Abstract submissions for publication and presentation at the
User’s Conference are due June 1, 2004.

In addition to presentations, the
conference will include sponsored events such as training, commercial
exhibits, white-water rafting, hiking, fly fishing, and a Western-style
barbeque.
