City Club Missoula will look at the history of Missoula through the eyes of
a prominent city father at its December public forum at the Governor’s Room
of the Florence Building, 111 N. Higgins.

The forum is Friday, December 16,
from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Ty Robinson will share memories, experiences and stories based on an
eclectic collection of characters, citizens and commerce which illustrate
Missoula’s rich diversity today.
Robinson, whose topic is Missoula’s Roots – Where Did We Come From, is a
native Montanan who has lived in eight Montana towns and cities.

He
graduated from the University of Montana in 1940. After working for the
Immigration Service and serving in the United States Navy, he graduated from
the University of Montana Law School.
He served as the in-house lawyer for the Missoula Mercantile Company.

In
1954, Robinson became an organizing partner in the Missoula law firm of
Garlington, Lohn and Robinson, where he is now senior counsel.
Active in civic affairs at city, county state and federal levels for more
than 55 years, Robinson continues to serve his community in several
non-profit organizations including the Community Medical Center Foundation
where he serves as chairman.

City Club Missoula forums are open to everyone.

A non-profit organization, City Club Missoula brings people together for
discussion and a free exchange of thought. Participation by those attending
is a component of all City Club Missoula forums. Missoula City Councilman
Don Nicholson, who co-chaired the December program committee with Jane Lewis
Rectenwald, will introduce Mr. Robinson.
