City Club January Forum To Discuss Lolo Peak Development, 1/20, Missoula

Development around Lolo Peak is the topic for discussion at City Club Missoula’s January 20 forum.

Participants are

· Tom Maclay, CEO Bitterroot Resort, who is proposing the development of a destination ski resort on Lolo Peak

· Maggie Pittman, district ranger on the Missoula District of the Lolo National Forest.

· Dr. Steve Seninger, director of economic analysis in the Bureau of Business and Economic Research, School of Business Administration, University of Montana, who represents Friends of Lolo Peak, a group concerned about the proposed resort.

· Sherry Devlin, editor of the Missoulian, moderator.

The forum, which will include discussion of the USFS management plan for Lolo Peak, begins at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in the Governor’s Room of the Florence Building, 111 N. Higgins.

We expect a lot of interest in this forum, so urge you to make reservations early by calling 721-9620, or by email to [email protected], on or before Jan. 16.

Indicate if you want lunch at $10 for City Club Missoula members, $15 for non-members, or $5 for dessert and coffee or tea.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss ideas presented and ask questions of the panel. All CCM forums are open to the public. A non-profit organization, City Club Missoula brings people together for discussion and a free exchange of thought.
