2017/2018 Training Calendar for the DBE/SBE Program – Looking for Partners

Hello Everyone;

I’m gearing up for the 2018 Fiscal Year training and looking for some partners to share expenses with for workshops, conferences, etc. The DBE program covers the entire state plus the 7 reservations and we are interested in helping all the small businesses in Montana.

As a partner you would be responsible for:

Making the flyer for the event

Registration

Collecting the fee for the class & and keeping the fee

Booking the room

The DBE/SBE program will pay for the consultant(s) and lunch if needed…..

Some of the classes that we have been offering are:

QuickBooks (Beginners, Payroll, Inventory, Advanced)

Liens – How to get your money

Marketing on a Budget

Social Media

Human Resource – Must Knows

Sales – Develop your toolbox

Contracting 101

Bonding & Insurance

Business Plans

Financial Literacy

SEO & Google Analytics

Certifications (women, minority and small business)

I’m open to any classes that will help small businesses, just give me a call or email me.

Starting July 1st we are also offering the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification, which is open to any small business that is not women owned or minority owned.

The certification is free and the criteria is basically the same as the DBE program.

The owner is a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident of the U.S.

Your personal net worth is less than $1.32 million excluding your primary residence and your ownership interest in the business

Annual gross receipts cannot exceed $23.9 for the past 3 years

The business must be for profit

Must be Independently owned

Why a small business would want to be certified with us:

List on the only directory in the state for small businesses

Receive direct invitations to bid from the Quote Request system

Receive supportive services with training, workshops, conferences, etc

Reimbursement of up to $2500 for Highway related businesses

Help with creating or updating a business plan
