RFQ:Architectural Services for Community Center project in Missoula, Montana

The City of Missoula Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualifications from architectural firms or teams of firms with successful experience working on projects involving design and construction of community centers or comparable multi-function public activity building spaces.

The scope of work for the community center project will provide for design an approximate 60,000 square foot indoor community center, attached or immediately adjacent to Currents Aquatics Center, in McCormick Park, with spaces that are multi-use, multi-functional, and supporting sports, dance, small performance, child care, aging adults, meetings, and shows or festivals.  Space must provide for community center and support staff, concession area, reception area, and storage.  Design must meet goals of equity, inclusion, accessibility, flexibility, sustainability, affordability, climate resiliency.  Space may act as an emergency shelter or support facility during local disasters.

Selected firm(s) or team(s) will be required to prepare design-development documents, evaluate alternatives and costs, and make recommendation.  Future services to include prepare stamped plans, bid ready construction documents per individual project award; and provide for inspection and consultation as necessary for the project(s) to progress through bidding and construction,
