Montana Career Opportunity – Staff Accountant – Goodworks Evergreen

Goodworks Evergreen a Missoula, MT-based impact investment company is looking for a Staff Accountant. The desired candidate will be hardworking, flexible, with an ability to embrace the challenge of performing accounting functions for multiple businesses.

Required:

• Understanding of GAAP accounting with 4 years of any combination of experience or education.
• The ability to independently manage your own time to complete a large number of tasks that vary in nature
• Experience with Quickbooks and Quickbooks payroll.
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to consistently learn new things.
• Willingness to jump in and help when necessary on the ground at our operating businesses. ie. inventory a retail store
• An interest in Montana’s rural communities and making a positive impact through business.

Desired:

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Retail or manufacturing knowledge.
• Construction or forestry experience.

Task will include

• Managing financial records
• Preparing financial statements
• Checking payroll records
• Reconciling accounts
• Handling reimbursements
• Closing monthly records and reports
• Ensuring efficiency and accuracy of records
• Utilizing accounting software
• Anything else that needs to be done
