Montana Career Opportunity – Economic Development Director – Big Horn County

DUTIES: Under administrative direction, aggressively promote economic growth for Big Horn County. Provide assistance for new business and industrial growth and assistance for existing business expansion and retention. Coordination of economic development with resources already in place within the community, county, and the State. Directs all planning aimed at deciding methods to be used in carrying out the objectives and implementation policies of the County.

REQUIRED: Graduation from high school or its equivalent supplemented by training in the area of economic development, finance, or real estate development. Three years of progressively responsible experience in the field of community or economic development with local government experience desirable. Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, and listening required. Computer experience helpful. Must possess a valid Montana Driver License and must be an insurable driver.

WAGE: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

HOURS: Forty (40) hours per week; Variable hours; Attendance at after-hours meetings is required.
