Job Description
I’m hiring for a new role and need help finding just the right person. I dont yet have a title for it. Here’s the context…
Lately I’ve been spending too much time in the weeds of back-office systems (The irony of this isn’t missed on me, considering this is the problem Ledger Collective is trying to solve). Things like setting up payroll and benefits platforms, rolling out new expense management tools, configuring accounting software, and connecting all the pieces so things actually talk to each other.
It’s all important work, but not the best use of my time.
I’m looking for someone who can take ownership of that world across a portfolio of companies we own. Someone who’s equally comfortable posting journal entries and reconciling balance sheets, learning new tools and building automations, and using AI to 10x their output instead of adding headcount.
Basically, a technically strong accountant who loves systems, efficiency, and leverage.
I think this might be one of the coolest emerging roles in small business. The AI enabled accountant/operator. You don’t need a big team to build big leverage, you just need the right person who knows how to use modern tools well.
If anyone you know comes to mind please send them my way! They need at least three to five years of high impact experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
