SUMMARY:Montana State University Would Like Your Input On The Strategic Plan - 9/9 - Bozeman
DESCRIPTION:Montana State University invites community members to share feedback on a list of proposed projects to include in the university’s new strategic plan. Feedback can be shared at a community event in Bozeman in September or through an online survey. \nThe community event will be held on Wednesday\, Sept. 9\, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at EngineWorks\, 2425 Technology Blvd.\, in Bozeman. The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available outside the building. \nIndividuals who are unable to attend the community forum but who would like to provide feedback may do so via an online survey. The survey will launch on Sept. 8 and can be accessed at MSU’s strategic planning website at https://www.montana.edu/strategicplan/. \nThe proposed projects reflect the ideas and themes the university heard through a series of listening sessions and completed surveys. Those attending the community event will be invited to explore the ideas on display\, show their support for the themes and projects they feel are most important\, and help identify the priorities that should guide MSU’s future. \nOver the spring semester\, a planning team gathered feedback from MSU campus stakeholders\, including students\, faculty and staff. During the summer months\, the team gathered public feedback through a series of listening sessions across the state. The plan will be drafted this fall\, and MSU will present it to the Montana Board of Regents on Nov. 19. \nThe strategic plan will serve as MSU’s roadmap for the next three to five years\, guiding the initiatives that will receive funding\, time and attention in pursuit of the university’s shared values. \nMSU adopted its current plan\, Choosing Promise\, in 2019 and updated it in 2023. The university has met several of the goals specified in Choosing Promise\, such as exceeding $200 million in annual research expenditures across all departments. \nMore information is available at MSU’s strategic plan website: https://www.montana.edu/strategicplan/. \n\nContact: Michael Becker\, vice president of University Communications\, at 406-994-4565 or michael.becker@montana.edu

SUMMARY:AI Tinkerers Missoula brings builders back Sept. 23 for roundtable talks and live demos
DESCRIPTION:MISSOULA\, Mont. - Missoula's AI builder chapter is back. AI Tinkerers Missoula \nholds Session 2 on Wednesday\, September 23\, 2026\, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. MDT: \na free\, in-person night for developers\, researchers\, and technical founders \nwho actually ship AI.\n\nThis is not a networking mixer. It's builders in one room talking code and \nhow to put AI to work for real. The night opens with a roundtable on AI \nharnesses and implementation: evaluation loops\, orchestration\, testing and \nregression\, guardrails\, telemetry\, and the messy details of getting systems \nrunning in production. Then lightning demos where someone pops the hood on \na real build for about five minutes.\n\nOrganizers Jurden Bruce of Brucepro and Joshua Rhines\, founder of CubCloud \nAI and CubCloud Community\, launched the Missoula chapter with an inaugural \nmeetup on Aug. 26. Session 2 keeps the same format and the same bar: show \nthe work\, teach the trade-offs\, leave the pitch deck at home.\n\n"Missoula has the builders. Session 1 proved they want code\, not a sales \ndeck. AI Tinkerers is where they get in a room\, show how the thing actually \nworks\, and Session 2 is live demos. That's the fun part\," said Rhines.\n\nVenue details go to confirmed attendees (same location as last time). \nSpace is limited. \nApply at https://missoula.aitinkerers.org/p/ai-tinkerers-missoula-roundtable-demos-ai-harnesses-sep-23-2026\n\nDemo proposals are open. Short\, code-first demos preferred. \nAgenda: check-in at 4:00\, roundtable at 4:10\, lightning demos at 5:10.\n\nCubCloud AI builds AI systems and tools on hardware it owns and operates in Montana. \nThe company is based at 400 West Broadway St.\, Suite 102 in downtown Missoula.\n\n\nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\nContact: Joshua Rhines\, CubCloud AI - Joshua@CubCloud.AI - 406-241-5395\nMissoula\, Montana - September 8\, 2026
