The webinar: The COVID-19 pandemic presents enormous challenges for businesses in rural communities. This webinar will provide perspectives from business owners and lenders on the rollout of federal aid for small businesses, including obstacles that have limited their effectiveness, and what’s needed next.
COVID-19 Economic Impacts and Mitigation in Rural Communities (Part I):  This webinar provided information about federal resources available to rural communities to mitigate the economic impacts of COVID-19 and explored how agencies are working to alleviate impacts on rural residents and businesses.
COVID-19 Economic Impacts and Mitigation in Rural Communities: State and Local (Part II): Leaders from western rural communities shared strategies for mitigating the economic impacts of the pandemic, the assistance needed to stabilize their economies, and how they’ll move from to long-term recovery.
The Western Governors’ Association represents the Governors of 19 Western states and 3 U.S.-flag islands. The association is an instrument of the Governors for bipartisan policy development, information exchange and collective action on issues of critical importance to the Western U.S.
