Former Montana Commissioner of Political Practices Jeff Mangan announced upcoming dates for Great Falls & Helena. Each event will include a short & educational presentation on the history of corporate money and citizen-led reforms in Montana, followed by a discussion of attendee’s views and ideas for change in 2025 and beyond. This nonpartisan event is open to everyone.

Mangan recently announced the launch of the Transparent Election Initiative (TEI), a groundbreaking effort to champion meaningful campaign finance reform and tackle the challenges posed by Citizens United. With his extensive experience in public service and dedication to ethical governance, Mangan is spearheading the project, aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in our electoral process.

TEI seeks to shed light on the world of political funding, empowering voters with clear information about campaign finance and ensuring that our democracy truly represents the will of the people.

Most importantly, the Transparent Election Initiative will focus on a grassroots effort to eliminate dark money that has flooded Montana’s elections since the Citizens United decision. Members of the community are invited to join TEI at one of a series of listening sessions across the state and share their perspectives, ideas, and thoughts on money in politics.

Mangan intends to schedule events in Butte & Havre, and is looking at dates for a Statewide, online forum.  

Mangan has visited with Montanans in Lewistown, Billings, Miles City, Bozeman, Missoula and Kalispell to date.
