The Trail Forward in Horsemanship Education Conference & Film Festival – 9/7-9 – UM Western, Dillon Montana

Renowned Horseman and 5th generation rancher Martin Black and Neuroscientist Dr. Steve Peters come together to blend the science of the horse brain with the psychology of the horse-human relationship. Co-authors of Evidence-Based Horsemanship, Black and Peters bring their horsemanship model to The Montana Center for Horsemanship for three days that includes the evolution of colt starting and a horse brain dissection that illustrates the complexity and intricacy of the horse’s brain and thought process.
Special Guest – Smoke Elser

Smoke is a world renowned Montana outfitter and equine educator who has trained mules and horses for global clients, including the U.S. military from Afghanistan to the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
