February 12 @ 9:00 am - February 13 @ 5:00 pm
The Economic Affairs Interim Committee of the Montana Legislature will have a full plate and bar menu (figuratively speaking) at its Feb. 12-13 meeting at the State Capitol when the 10-member group begins hearing from tourism officials, occupational licensing experts, and the alcohol industry about proposed law changes.
The Feb. 12 agenda features a 9 a.m. start in Room 137 for discussions about the tourism industry along with presentations from the Departments of Agriculture and Commerce as well as the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division of the Department of Revenue. A group of alcohol industry stakeholders has been asked to present findings from their meetings on possible changes in alcohol laws.
The next meeting day will include information about occupational licensing of applicants with criminal backgrounds. Also on the Feb. 13 agenda are a review of workers’ compensation premiums as they relate to covering firefighters with presumptive disease and a discussion about broadband access.
