
TEDx UM Western to Spotlight Rural Resilience and Innovation – All are Invited – 3/21 – Dillon, Montana

Community members are invited to attend TEDx University of Montana Western on Saturday, March 21, 2026, for a full-day event focused on building resilience in rural communities. Held on the UM Western campus and open to the public, the independently organized TEDx conference will feature eight recorded talks, along with workshops, live performances, and opportunities for discussion and connection. Designed as a live studio audience experience, the event will also include a provided lunch and interactive sessions that allow attendees to engage directly with speakers.
Hosted by the university’s Theatre and Environmental Sciences departments and sponsored by the Fund for Experience One, the event aims to strengthen academic culture, encourage critical thinking, and foster collaboration across disciplines. Speakers include educators, researchers, nonprofit leaders, and students whose work reflects Montana Western’s academic focus and connection to local and rural issues. Together, their talks will explore adaptability, innovation, and collaboration, reinforcing TEDx UM Western’s goal of bridging campus scholarship with broader community dialogue.
