Regional Radon Conference, March 26 and 27, 2020, Helena Montana

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the EPA Region 8 Radon Conference on March 26 and 27 in Helena, Montana. This year’s conference theme is “Radon Resources in the Rocky Mountain Region” and is brought to you by Montana, Colorado, Utah, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming and EPA Region 8.
The conference will host the exchange of ideas, knowledge, technical tips and scientific studies. Day One of the conference is filled with presentations on regional radon activities, mapping of radon test results, radon-related health and medical topics, radon measurement and mitigation, educational resources and radon in schools.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Wallace Akerley of the University of Utah who will speak on radon induced lung cancer and new medical treatments. University of Montana Professor Dr. Tony Ward will speak on radon activities in Montana schools.
Vendors will be displaying their radon-related wares and an evening social will round out Day One.
On Day Two, Bruce Snead and his staff from Kansas State University will host two radon courses, Radon Measurement in Schools and Large Buildings; and Radon Services and Contractor Opportunities. Courses qualify for continuing education; register for courses on KSU’s website.
