“Power in Purpose” Cooperative Policy Roundtable for the Northern Plains States – 8/28 – Billings, Montana
August 28 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Montana Cooperative Development Center and the Native American Development Corporation invite you to join us in Billings, Montana, on Wednesday, August 28, for a special, “Power in Purpose” Cooperative Policy Roundtable for the Northern Plains states. At this FREE, 6-hour event you will discuss what national, Tribal, state and local policies are needed to support co-ops in small cities, rural counties, and reservation communities across our vast region. Our featured speaker will be Doug O’Brien, President and CEO of the National Cooperative Business Association, who will set the stage for this timely conversation.
Please register today, and then forward this invitation to others who may wish to engage in this nationwide co-op policy dialogue. We welcome elected officials and candidates for office; Federal, Tribal and state agencies; local and state cooperative advocates; and leaders of nonprofit organizations to discuss how the co-op business model can help stabilize and enhance rural economies, especially in the most frontier and remote parts of our region. Thank you very much.
