From 11am to 1pm we will host Small Business Office Hours where you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from a variety of small business resources including the
Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Small Business Development Center, Local Economic Development Centers,
Women’s Business Center, Chambers of Commerce, SCORE, Small Business Administration, MDT’s Small Business
Programs, and more!

From 1pm to 4pm, the Bidding & Estimating Workshop will
take place. Class is limited to 25. Please sign up by clicking

-Preparations – starting when project is advertised.

-Calculation of bid item costs – Using the basic costs which
are Labor, Equipment, Materials, and Subcontractors

-Materials and Supplies

-Labor Costs (Davis Bacon, Work Comp)

-Equipment Costs

-Subcontractors/Vendors

-Final Determination of Bid Item Prices

-Mobilization

-Final Markup – Overhead, Profit, Risk Assessment, TERO,
Permits

-Other Considerations – insurance, bonding, 1% GRT, and
Supervisors
