MEDA Remote Worker Group Call @ Thu Jun 4, 2020 11:15am – 12:15pm (MDT)

June 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

The Montana Economic Developers Association is seeing the evolution of the work environment as more companies embrace the concept of remote work.   More employees will not be required to commute to a business office but will be able to work from home or in shared workspaces not necessarily in their current city.

Montana is an incredible state and many of these newly liberated workers may consider Montana for their new home.  Many already live here but work for companies not located in Montana.

The MEDA working group is collaborating to develop marketing and information to encourage these workers to consider Montana and build a support network for teleworkers.  While many will first focus on our larger communities, the opportunity to promote our smaller communities has a great potential to have a major impact on these communities.  Even 1 or 2 new residents bringing their high tech salaries will mean a lot to the economy of a rural Montana community.

If you are interested in discussing this issue and contributing your thoughts and ideas,  please contact Gloria O’Rourke of MEDA to register and receive the Zoom meeting access information.
