Join Us for the 2026 Minnow Tank Finale

The Minnow Tank Finale is almost here, and we could not be more excited to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and courage of this year’s finalists.

This event is about more than a competition. It is a night of entrepreneurship, community, and support for the small businesses working hard to grow in northeastern Montana and it is all FREE to attend. We are incredibly proud of all of the businesses that stepped forward to take part in Minnow Tank, and we are excited to watch our finalists take the stage for this next part of their journey.

Finale Starts at 5:30 P.M.

Can’t make it in person?

We know that in a rural region, not everyone can make the drive. That is why we are excited to offer a virtual viewing option this year so supporters can still tune in, cheer on our finalists, and be part of the evening from wherever they are.

A Special Thank You to Our Sponsors

Your partnership helps create opportunity, encourages innovation, and supports the next chapter for small businesses across our region.

Resource Table:

This year’s finale will also feature a resource table area, giving attendees the chance to connect with organizations and programs that support entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community growth.

We are excited to welcome partners and resource providers that offer tools, funding opportunities, technical assistance, business advising, childcare access support, manufacturing assistance, government contracting guidance, lending resources, and more. In rural communities, opportunities like this do not always come together in one room, and we are proud to help make those connections possible.

Resource partners planning to attend include organizations such as:

  • MMEC – Montana Manufacturing Extension Center
  • Zero to Five Montana
  • DBE – DOT Office of Civil Rights
  • Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program
  • C-PACE
  • MT Job Service – Wolf Point Office
We are also proud to recognize this year’s Minnow Tank finalists. These businesses have worked hard to reach this point, and we hope you will join us in cheering them on. Make sure to give them a follow of social (click their picture to go to their Facebook page) or stop at their business next time you find yourself in their community

Minnow Tank is more than a pitch competition. It is a celebration of rural entrepreneurship, small business growth, and the people working hard to build something meaningful in our communities.

We hope you will join us in person or online to support these finalists, connect with our resource partners, and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to grow across northeastern Montana.

We cannot wait to see everyone for this exciting chapter of Minnow Tank!

Your Success Story Matters—Help Us Share It

Over the next several years, funding for small business services like ours will be reviewed at both the state and national levels. Decision-makers want to see real outcomes—how programs translate into stronger businesses, local jobs, and long-term economic impact.

That’s where your story comes in.

Sharing your experience helps demonstrate:

  • How small businesses strengthen local and state economies,
  • Why continued investment in business advising and support matters, and
  • The value of long-term services beyond just startup or loan assistance.

We’re currently collecting success stories to feature locally, on social media, at the state level, and potentially nationally. These stories may also be shared with legislators and partners who influence future funding decisions.

We’ve made the process simple:

  • Complete a short online form (just a few minutes).
  • Our team handles the writing and polishing.
  • You review and approve everything before it’s shared.

[Submit Your GNDC Success Story]

Your story not only highlights your hard work—it helps ensure that business owners across northeastern Montana continue to have access to advising, training, and resources at every stage of growth.

If you’d rather talk through your story first, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help shape it.
