Governor’s Climate Solutions Council – 1/27-28 – Missoula

January 27 @ 1:00 pm - January 28 @ 3:30 pm

Come tell the Governor and members of the climate solutions council your story at the public meeting Monday & Tuesday, January 27 and 28. Why do you want to see urgent, far-reaching action on climate change, and what kind of solutions do you want to see the council prioritize?

The members of Governor Bullock’s Climate Solutions Council will meet for the second time on the University of Montana’s campus, as part of a year-long process to come up with state policy solutions that would mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, spur a transition in our state, and help Montanans adapt to current and future climate impacts.

The meeting and presentations are open to the public, and you can make public comment Monday at 4:15 p.m. or Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in University Center Rooms 330-332. Note that the public comment periods are brief; you can also bring written comments to distribute to the Council.

Check out the agenda here. At this meeting, the Council will vote on early recommendations of committees within the council. Approved recommendations will ultimately be submitted to Governor Bullock for consideration.
