Bozeman B Corp-certified companies to speak at Montana State on April 2

BOZEMAN — The Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Blackstone LaunchPad, will host a panel featuring B Corp-certified companies on Wednesday, April 2, at 5 p.m.
The panel will be held in Jabs Hall, Room 111, on the Montana State University campus and is free and open to the public.
According to the nonprofit B Lab, Certified B corporations must meet high standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability. The organization says there are more than 6,000 Certified B corporations in more than 80 countries.
In the panel, representatives from four Bozeman B Corp-certified companies will share how they balance growing a profitable business in the Gallatin Valley and maintaining ethical practices. They will discuss why they invested in becoming a B Corp and what it means for their workplace.
The panelists will include:
- Amy Beck, president of Oboz, a footwear company that specializes in sustainably sourced outdoor shoes.
- Spencer Williams, founder of West Paw, a made-in-Montana dog treats and toys manufacturer.
- Summer Gilleney, director of people and culture at OnSite Energy, a solar energy company specializing in solar panel installation.
- Erika Flowers, managing director and partner at Profitable Ideas Exchange, a business management and consulting company that collaborates with local businesses.
Following the panel, attendees are invited to stay, network and continue the conversation over refreshments.
