MONTANA ECONOMIC OUTLOOK SEMINAR 2021
A Special Two-Day Online Event
Monday, February 1 – Tuesday, February 2
The outbreak of the global Covid-19 pandemic has caused an unprecedented downturn in Montana’s economy. Some sectors are recovering quickly, while others face daunting challenges. Almost every major industry in Montana suffered lower employment in 2020 due to the Covid-19 contraction. During 2020, Montana lost nearly 39,000 jobs. Job losses have been particularly severe in sectors where social distancing is most difficult – accommodations and food, retail, arts and entertainment, and personal services businesses (see chart below).
Join us for the 46th Annual Economic Outlook Seminar,”The Path Forward: How Covid-19 Has Reshaped the Economy,” where Montana’s top economists – and two nationally recognized keynote speakers – will discuss the many ways the coronavirus pandemic has impacted Montana’s economy. For the first time, the seminar will be held online, with multiple networking and discussion opportunities with speakers, sponsors and fellow attendees.
