Northwestern Energy Offers VFD/Motors Management Training in 5 Montana Communities May 8 - 12.

April 20, 2017

We have another training coming up the week of May 8 - May 12. This multi-city tour training on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor management will be in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena and Missoula.

This training is suited for electricians, facility maintenance personnel (commercial or industrial), engineers, HVAC staff, irrigation system technicians, as well as motor service center managers and personnel. Anyone involved in the purchase, installation, operation and maintenance of motors or VFDs can benefit from this training. Instructor Dennis Bounds has provided motor training in the past. This year's session includes new information on VFDs.

VFDs are becoming much more common on motors and can reduce the energy usage associated with motors. This training helps get the most from motors and the system they drive.

NorthWestern offers rebates on VFDs and also provides Rebates on Motor Rewinds that meet Green Motors standards.

NorthWestern is sponsoring this training and will cover the tuition of our electric customers and the trade allies whom support our customers, with a few limitations.

Full details of this training can be found by clicking the link: Registration is available through:

NOTE: *8 hours of Industry Related Electrician Continuing Education Units (CEU) are available. Please bring your License number to the class if you are intending to receive CEUs. Attendance of the full session is required for CEUs.
