8:45 AM
Center for the Performing Arts
Hello, Community Leaders, Planners, and Economic Development Stakeholders!

I wanted to let you all know about a free brownfields workshop being co-hosted by City of Missoula and the Technical Assistance to Brownfields Program (TAB) at Kansas State University.

Oct. 11 - First Day Topics: "Revitalization and Funding Resources" 8:45 AM - 4:00 PM Mountain

Does your community have an abandoned building other potentially contaminated property that is impeding your communities' future growth? Topics are designed to help you and your community gain a better understanding of what a Brownfield is, learn how Brownfield revitalization can be a part of your community's economic development strategy, and hear from state and national representatives on resources available to you and your community. Speakers from both the public and private sector will discuss redevelopment and funding. Success stories will be presented.

Oct. 12 - Second Day Topics: "Troubleshooting Redevelopment of Challenging Sites" 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon Mountain

Participants will learn of available grants strategies for successful redevelopment of sites that present a challenge to redevelopment. Local sites will be discussed but strategies should be of interest to all attendees.

Who should attend? Local and regional government officials, economic and community development organizations, lenders and real-estate professionals, environmental consultants, property owners, and anyone interested in learning about brownfields as well as financial resources for local redevelopment.
