Funding does not guarantee retention of University of Montana Global Leadership Institute Program students
October 12, 2018 /
The Franke Global Leadership Initiative https://www.umt.edu/gli/ is aimed at top-tier students with a track record of success, but it is having trouble keeping them in the program despite incentives like study-abroad funding.
GLI loses 62 percent of its students by graduation on average each year.
The four-year program is focused on global challenges and leadership skills, requiring students to complete a "beyond the classroom experience."
