Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney talks importance of learning trades in Butte

Lt. Governor Mike Cooney stopped in Butte to push the administration’s message of encouraging more young people to learn a trade.

Cooney visited Highlands College and toured the auto mechanics school and learned how students can take this two-year course to become a certified mechanic.

Cooney said many employers across the state are complaining about a lack of skilled trade laborers in the workforce and programs like this can often lead to good jobs.
