Conference aims to work on on economic development among Native American community

The Native American Development Coorporation held a conference that focuses on businesses within Native American tribes, promote healthcare, and present those who have succeeded in the business world.

Cora Kay Chandler is the business manager for NADC and said a fashion show was held to showcase two women who have roots in Indian Country and have made a name for themselves.

"We have Della Big Hair Stump and she has actually been a feature in Teen Vogue Fashion Magazine," Chandler said. "We also have Norma Flying Hearts Baker and she actually had her first Oscar gown appearance. So she was the first Native American to have that.
