Wyoming nonprofit that benefits single mothers receives $1 million grant to share its strategy

Climb Wyoming, a nonprofit that seeks to benefit single mothers, has received a three-year, $1 million grant from a national health foundation to share its approach in other states.

The grant will allow Climb to take its method — providing training and help so single mothers can economically benefit — to Utah and Colorado, said Shannon Brooks Hamby, the group’s director of advancement. The goal isn’t to open chapters of Climb in those two states, she explained, but to bring the groups "curriculum" and share it with already-existing organizations.
