6 Montana high schools rank nationally as best in country
May 11, 2018 /
U.S. News & World Report recently ranked 6 Montana high schools as among the top public schools in the nation with "silver awards."
The magazine issued "gold awards" to the top 500 high schools, or about 2 percent of all schools analyzed, none of which were from Montana.
It gave "silver awards" to the top performing high schools that were ranked nationally — roughly 11 percent of more than 20,500 public high schools.
In addition, 30 Montana schools received "bronze awards" and were nationally recognized for their performance but not ranked.
