Governor Steve Bullock and Lt. Governor Mike Cooney today recognized 13 Montana public schools as the winners of the 2017-2018 SMART (Saving Money And Resources Today) Schools Challenge.

"We’re honored to recognize the students who are encouraging energy efficiency, conservation, and waste reduction in their schools," said Governor Bullock. "By doing so, they are setting an example for us as state leaders in working to make Montana an even greater place."

"Students and schools are paving the way for a brighter energy future in Montana," said Lt. Governor Cooney. "This is not only the smart thing to do, it’s the right thing to do and it saves taxpayers money, safeguards our quality of life, and ensures we are responsible with our resources."
