Jim Messina – Consultant who helped elect President Obama is working on recruitment for University of Montana — for free

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Jim Messina, arguably the University of Montana’s most powerful alum, is volunteering his campaign and data prowess as CEO of The Messina Group https://themessinagroup.com/ to help his alma mater.

"I just think it’s up to every single one of us who loves the university to pitch in and help," Messina said Monday in a phone call. "I’m doing it for free, and I’m doing it just because I love it.

"I love the university, and I’m really impressed with Seth’s (UM President Seth Bodnar’s) vision."
