Groundbreaking set for Montana’s first housing cooperative for those 55 and older

When complete, the Riverside Crossing Active Adult Cooperative in Hamilton will include 51 cottages carefully arranged in "pocket neighborhoods" that include shared green spaces, circular walkways and a common house where residents can entertain family and friends.

"This is not going to look anything like housing for old people," said Paul Travitz, executive director of the Ravalli County Council on Aging. "It will be a place where people can build community and live a more carefree life."
