Tester Donates 25 Senate Computers to Rural Montana Schools

Senator Puts Technology in Indian Country Classrooms

U.S. Senator Jon Tester today announced he is donating 25 Senate computers to schools serving Native American students.

Tester secured the computers through the U.S. Senate’s Computers for Schools Program. The program integrates technology into public school classrooms.

"Public education is the foundation of our democracy and future workforce," said Tester, a former Big Sandy teacher and School Board member. "Computers will better prepare the next generation of Montanans for a bright future."

Each school awarded will receive five computers:

* Ashland Elementary School

* Brockton High School

* Dodson K-12 School

* Dixon Elementary School

* Wyola Elementary School

Tester has been a long-time advocate for bolstering technology in Montana classrooms. He recently called on the FCC to update a program https://www.tester.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=6013 aimed at bringing broadband to rural schools after reports of long delays and denials.
