New UM Web Site Goes Live

It’s official: The University of Montana has a new Web site.

The new home page went live Monday, Sept. 22, replacing the old site at http://www.umt.edu.

(Homesick for the old home site? It will be at http://www.umt.edu/homepage_old for two weeks before fading into the sunset.)

The new site features user-friendly audience- and action-based navigation, information about UM and the surrounding area, a customizable tools and resources section, a Google-powered search engine and an improved A-Z index.

The new home page also offers fresh content, including feature stories, news releases and current events information. Another new feature, "Faces," provides entertaining glimpses at the students, employees and alumni who make UM special.

The new site was developed after extensive research and planning by the Home Page Redesign Subcommittee of the UM Web Development Committee. For more information, read the About This Site page.http://www.umt.edu/homepage/aboutsite/default.asp
