Glacier Park International Airport To Host TSA Pre "Pop-up" Event Is Scheduled February 26 To March 2

KALISPELL, Mont. —For Flathead Valley residents seeking to simplify air travel, Glacier Park International Airport has good news. On February 26, the airport, in partnership with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), will kick off a weeklong TSA PreCheck (TSA Pre) enrollment event. Currently, the nearest permanent enrollment facility in Montana for TSA PreCheckis more than 400 miles from Kalispell, meaning this event will provide a valuable service to area residents.

TSA PreCheck allows Trusted Travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt. During peak travel times at Glacier Park International Airport (FCA), passengers can also keep their laptop in its case and keep travel size liquids and gels in their carry-on bag. Travelers who want to enjoy the benefits of TSA Pre on a consistent basis are encouraged to enroll in the program.

“A 2017 study indicates that 97 percent of TSA PreCheck passengers wait less than five minutes in the security line,” says Rob Ratkowski, Airport Director at Glacier Park International Airport. “TSA PreCheck speeds up the screening process and makes the entire travel process more enjoyable. It’s a little like having the fast pass at a theme park.”

Ratkowski says that securing an appointment for the event online, in advance, is recommended. “The online pre-enrollment form takes approximately ten minutes and is a straightforward process,” he explains. Though walk-ins are welcome during the five-day event, applicants who pre-enroll online will receive priority. “You can schedule a time that is convenient for you, if you apply now,” he emphasizes.

The event will occur Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2 in the Swift Current room of Glacier Park International Airport’s main terminal. Appointments are available from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

To schedule an appointment in advance, visit the TSA Pre✓® enrollment website at http://www.identogo.com/precheck, click “Apply Now” and select the location, Kalispell, MT. Advance appointments will only be taken online; walk-ins are welcome at the airport during the week of the event. For questions regarding TSA PreCheck eligibility, the application process, or for media inquiries pertaining to the TSA PreCheck designation, contact Lorie Dankers, TSA Public Affairs Manager for Montana, [email protected].
