Shelby, Montana Schools feeling pinch from NaturEner tax protest
January 19, 2018 /
The school district has dipped into reserves and is facing a shortfall of 20 percent of the money it takes in from local taxes because NaturEner USA is protesting its 2015 and 2016 taxes.
In Shelby, schools are short more than $1 million since spring 2016, the Shelby Promoter reported. The county is cutting budgets, too.
