"Wildlife," a movie starring Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal and based on a Richard Ford novel set in and around Great Falls in 1960, has been selected among thousands of entries for the 2018 Sundance Film Festival's U.S. Dramatic film competition.

"It's really remarkable to have two Montana films at Sundance," said Montana Film Office Commissioner Allison Whitmer.

Kevin Costner hosts Montana Governor Steve Bullock on the set of 'Yellowstone'

Costner called the new series "a postcard for Montana."

"What a cool state to be the governor," Costner said. "If something like 'Yellowstone' has a way of highlighting, being somewhat of a dramatic love letter to your state, we'll be successful. The writing for it is superior."
