Four Bozeman schools seek grant for solar panels
December 2, 2017 /
Bozeman’s public schools are ready to go solar, just at a moment of great uncertainty in the industry.
The School Board recently voted to seek a $192,000 renewable energy grant to install solar panels atop four elementary schools — Emily Dickinson, Morning Star, Hyalite and Meadowlark.
The school district’s grant application shows that if approved, the grant money would cover 70 percent of the $274,000 estimated cost.
