National & local leaders consider Wyoming’s economic future in new ENDOW video

"There’s some secret sauce that exists in this place that grows great people."

– Greg Hill, ENDOW Co-Chair & President of Hess Corporation

There is a lot happening in Wyoming this fall as the ENDOW Executive Council, Advisory Council and local partners continue working together to expand opportunities for our state’s most vital resource: Wyoming people.

ENDOW Advisory Council Video

From international business executives to local business and civic leaders, the message ENDOW members hear in nearly every conversation is that Wyoming people are our state’s key differentiator. Wyoming people are hardworking, self-reliant and innovative. And Wyoming’s young people want to stay here but finding good opportunities can be hard. It is important to parents and grandparents in every Wyoming community that jobs exist to allow Wyoming’s own to stay here after school and earn a good living.

In every town ENDOW visits there are remarkable things happening. Lots of work lies ahead but we should remember to celebrate and highlight all the remarkable businesspeople and entrepreneurs who are innovating, creating jobs, and excelling in Wyoming today.

ENDOW is working to take all the information and inspiration Executive Council members gain through their conversations with entrepreneurs, business development leaders and policy experts and synthesize it into a 20-year action plan to diversify Wyoming’s economy.

Your input, ideas and concerns, inform the path forward. We hope you will engage with ENDOW in-person or online and help shape the Wyoming we want for the future.

Upcoming ENDOW Executive Council Meeting

The ENDOW Executive Council’s next meeting will be held on December 11th and 12th in Laramie. Please check https://www.endowyo.biz/ in the weeks ahead for location details and the agenda.

ENDOW Sets The Stage

The ENDOW Executive Council submitted its first report to Gov. Matt Mead and the Wyoming Legislature on Aug. 30. The Wyoming socioeconomic assessment https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/7d64fb_f97a98b7483740999d0a82a7bc757c13.pdf established a baseline for the preliminary recommendations due by Dec. 31, which sets the stage for the advancement of a 20-year economic diversification strategy for the state. The socioeconomic report includes sector-by-sector analyses that were evaluated and enhanced by industrial representatives and includes national trends, peer state comparisons, workforce data and barriers, enablers and opportunities. The economic diversification strategy is due by Aug. 1, 2018.
