People, groups in Butte, Montana invited to apply for piece of $60,000 economic development pie

Residents and organizations have another week to propose initiatives that could benefit Butte’s economy — and get county money for the cause.

As they do each year, commissioners will soon give out more than $60,000 for projects or programs designed to boost business, beauty or tourism in Butte-Silver Bow. The money is from a single mill levy dedicated for economic development.

Proposals for spending part or all of the money are due at the Clerk and Recorder’s Office in Room 208 of the Courthouse, 155 W. Granite St., by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. Guidelines for proposals are available at that office, too.
