Trade Show Assistance Program Application Streamlined for Montana Agriculture Businesses

The Montana Department of Agriculture’s Trade Show Assistance
Program has been streamlined to meet the needs of active value-added
agricultural businesses.

The program offers companies financial assistance of up to $1,000 to attend
regional and national trade shows. Companies apply for assistance prior to
attending a show. With application approval, companies may be reimbursed
after the show for a portion of the cost of a booth. Annual quarterly
deadlines are January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31.

The department’s marketing staff also assists companies with choosing trade
shows that fit their marketing strategies, advises on trade show display
techniques and aids show budget development. For companies interested in
attending a trade show that was previously out of their reach, this is a
great opportunity to get financial and technical help.

To date, the Trade Show Assistance Program has assisted 12 companies,
resulting in sales of more than $78,000.
